Word on the Street: Louis' Hottest 4 Film Picks
What’s got Parisians talking right now
And the winners are…
The nominations are all in and as we wait awards night for the César (basically France’s equivalent to the Oscars) on 24th February in Paris, we asked Louis Lepron, former Konbini Editor-in-Chief-turned-full-time-photographer and the biggest French film fan we know, to give us the lowdown on what films we absolutely have to see.
Les Amandiers, translated as Forever Young, is a drama written and directed by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi and is in the running for Best Film. Leading lady Nadia Tereszkiewicz in her role as Stella is nominated as Best Up and Coming Actress.
La Nuit du 12, also in the running for Best Film, a Franco-Belgian thriller directed by Dominik Moll, who’s also been nominated as Best Director.
Bruno Reidal, Confession d'un meurtrier, a crime drama nominated for Best First Film, directed by Vincent Le Port.
L’Innocent, nominated for the Best Film award, a drama directed by actor Louis Garrel who’s also in the running for Best Actor for the same film.
Thanks Louis! Looking forward to our next French film nights!
