Everything else on my radar in Paris this October
New restaurants, art openings, fun events happening this month. I'll be adding to this post throughout the month, so don't hesitate to get in touch with any fun events.
7 October-7 January | Several artists looking at how the sculptor depicted the nose at the Giacometti Institute.
10 October | Vecchio at the Perchoir (the one in Paris 20) kicks off with the duo Gianmarco Gorni and Hubert Niveleau, who’ll be transforming the place into an American-Italian foodie paradise.
11-15 October | Montmartre Vendanges five-day festival around the grape harvest of the village vineyard.
13 October (end date TBC) | As part of the show American Mythologies, more than 100 works by artist Mike Kelley will be curated under the title ‘Ghosts and Spirits’ at the Bourse de Commerce - Pinault Collection.
17 October | The world-famous Hauser & Wirth gallery will be opening its first Paris space with an exhibition of Henry Taylor’s work.
17-10 October | British sculptor Anthony Gormley continues to explore the relationship of the human body to space in Critical Mass at the Rodin Museum. Key works from across Gormley’s career will dialogue with Rodin’s sculptures, inviting visitors to reflect on the two sculptors’ shared investment in asking what the body offers sculpture as a subject, object and reflexive tool.
17-22 October | We Are Ona pop-up lunches and dinners will focus on Michelin-star Thai vegetarian food and a scenography bringing the restaurant back-of-house to the fore on rue du Faubourg Poissonnière (Paris 10).
19-22 October | Paris+ by Art Basel international art fair (formerly the FIAC).
20-22 October | AKAA, Also Known As Africa art and design fair in the Marais.
20-22 October | Asia Now Festival with artists from 26 territories at the Monnaie de Paris.
26 October | Independently published and crowd-funded literary magazine Version Originale will be launching their first ever edition at Dirty Lemon and everyone’s invited!
28 October | The 10-year anniversary of the Forever D&B night at techno club Glazart with James Breakage and other big name DJs.
31 October | Welcome to hell at the Rodin Museum, with a special curation of the artist’s works for a Halloween special.
Fresh new places to eat at | Street food fans will love the new Vif (of the same clan as Dawg across the street).
