Colonel Fabien’s always been a free-spirited neighbourhood, from its days as the cradle of hip hop with wild day parties happening close by at Grange aux Belles to it being the destination of choice for the Communist Party’s headquarters - an impressive Oscar Niemeyer Soviet style structure. Often seen as a no-man’s land between Belleville, Canal Saint-Martin and the Buttes Chaumont, this tangle of streets’ got plenty to offer.
